Family Equine FARM

Locketts Farm, a private family equine farm, is located in the heart of the Portman Vale and is the home of Mike, Lucy, Ned & Jack. Formally the home of Gold Cup Winning racehorse trainer Robert Alner, the Felton family continue with horses, trail-hunting and pointing which is at the core of what Locketts is all about.

Mike & Lucy rebuilt the house eight years ago and have, over time, upgraded the facilities beautifully, providing luxury accommodation for hunter and pointer liveries as well as offering a beautiful B&B, which is readily available throughout the year. With two gallops (sand & woodchip), an outdoor school, horse-walker and acres of old turf surrounded by pristine jumpable hedges; Locketts has become infamous within the local packs of hounds for being the ultimate trail-hunting playground. Our local trail-hunting packs are the well esteemed Blackmore & Sparkford Vale, The Portman, The South Dorset and The Cattistock. Please do drop us a line should you wish to stay with your horse for a days trail hunting with any of these packs. We have accommodation for both you and your horse.
